NEALE CASTILLO
President, Founder
Neale has been creating incredible enrichment programs for young children and tots in the Washington, DC area for over 10 years. Neale leads classes for all sports and has experience working with special needs children, specifically at The Maddux School. Neale is a former professional tennis player with a decorated career that included winning the Rolex ITF National Championship as a freshman, 6 Men’s Open National titles, and 15 National Silver and Bronze Balls, eventually reaching #1 in the USA in 2006-2007 and a spot on the ATP Tour.
As a coach, Neale was awarded the USPTA Maryland Professional of the Year and in 2016 won the Mid Atlantic High School Coach of the Year.

DREW CARNEAL
Executive Director, Founder
Drew brings a different approach to youth sports by focusing on developmental psychology and how it can promote healthy growth on and off the field. Drew has a Bachelors in Psychology from Dickinson College where he earned NCAA All-Region and All Conference honors, as well as multiple school records as a stand-out soccer player. More recently, Drew has spent the last 3 years coaching youth soccer in the Washington, DC area where he's worked with children ages 2-16.
Growing up, Drew played for the D.C. United Academy, Potomac Academy, Olney Rangers (Ranked 1st in the Country), the Olympic Development Program, and the Magic Santos (National Futsal Champions).

ROGER MENSAH
Director of Tennis
Roger Mensah is a former Satellites and Davis Cup player, a certified PTR and ITF Professional and has been teaching tennis for over 28 years working with players of all ages and levels, focusing on sound and applicable details of the game. He was assistant Director of Juniors program at the Tennis Academy in College Park and presently coaches in all programs at Wintergreen Resort. He has worked alongside the best in the Tennis industry, Patrick Mc Enroe, Wayne Bryan, Mats Wilander, and the legendary Vic Braden conducting clinics. Roger is an alumnus of University of Lome and holds a degree in Architecture, speaks French and other languages fluently, and he is currently working on his degree in Sports Science.
His passion and wealth of knowledge in tennis will help elevate any academy’s program to a new height. He is a member of USTA, USPTR, and many others.

TYLER RUDY
Director of Soccer, Marketing Specialist
Tyler brings an unparalleled level of soccer experience to the MATA team. After a 4 year Varsity Soccer campaign at Georgetown University, earning NCAA All-Region honors and a spot as team captain, Tyler signed with Major League Professional side, New England Revolution. Later, Tyler continued his professional career at Puerto Rico FC where he quickly became an integral part of the team.

Tyler announced retirement in the summer of 2017 and is excited to give back to the sport through his involvement with MATA. As a business major at Georgetown, Tyler is able to apply a savvy approach to marketing and business development at the club. He is in charge of all marketing efforts, including MATA social media outlets, and you will often see him out at events throughout the year.

BRAEDEN KELLY
Head Soccer Coach
Braeden is a fantastic soccer coach with years of playing experience. Braeden has a Bachelors from Dickinson College where he played 4 years of Varsity Soccer, eventually earning the bid as team captain his senior year. In high school, Braeden was selected as the PVAC MVP as well as a spot on the Washington Post All-Metropolitan team. Outside of school play, Braeden also served as an integral member of the McLean Academy U16 team and the SAC Premier U18 team, winning back-to-back Maryland State Cup championships in 2012 and 2013.

Outside of competitive soccer, Braeden has been an active leader in the soccer community. In the summers of 2010 and 2012, Braeden spent three weeks in Kurland Village, South Africa running an afterschool soccer program for young adolescents, ages 5-16. In addition, Braeden helped run prospective student clinics for the Men’s Soccer Coach at Dickinson College.

ELLE WASSERTZUG
Head Soccer Coach
Coach Elle brings a lot of energy to the MATA team! She has a diverse background working with kids as a soccer coach, nanny, and camp counselor. In 2014, Elle led a girls soccer program for the children of the impoverished Kurland Village in South Africa. She succeeded at her mission to unite the people of the village by creating positive experiences for all children. Elle also has experience as a lower school assistant and as a counselor at Camp Seafarer.
Elle grew up playing soccer in Maryland which included a 4 year high school varsity soccer campaign for Sandy Spring Friends School. She is currently a student at the University of Maryland where she's an active member of the club soccer team.

ANNA WEILER
Head Soccer Coach
Coach Anna is a wonderful addition to the MATA team. A multi-sport athlete growing up, Anna is able to apply a well-rounded approach to youth sports. Anna was a stand out student-athlete in high school, earning a place in the National Honor Society and as a Student Ambassador, as well as team captain for the varsity soccer team and a spot on the varsity basketball team. She also finished as a finalist in the regional public speaking competition.

Anna is still actively involved in soccer as a member of the club soccer team at the University of Maryland. She continues to shine both on the field and in the classroom, including induction into both Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies.

JACOB OPPLER
Head T-Ball Coach
Coach Jacob is an experienced baseball player. Jacob earned multiple all-conference selections as a varsity high school baseball player, and was named team captain in 2010 and 2011. Jacob finished his senior year with a 2.94 ERA, placing him second in school history.

Outside of baseball, Jacob has volunteered as a middle school history and math tutor, camp counselor, and interned for the Department of Early Education and Care for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

ALEXA BALONIK
Head Tennis Coach
Coach Alexa brings a lot of tennis playing experience to the MATA team. Alexa was a 4 year varsity tennis player and 2 time captain for her high school team where she finished as a singles quarter-finalist and doubles semi-finalist in her county. She then went on to play club tennis at Dickinson College.

Alexa has also worked as a tennis camp counselor, babysitter, and SSAT proctor for middle and high schoolers. She is excited to work as a head tennis coach for our tots programs ages 3-7!

JASON DENABURG
Head T-Ball Coach
Coach Jason brings an impressive level of baseball expertise to the MATA team, both as a player and coach. Most recently, Jason has helped coach varsity high school baseball for Sandy Spring Friends School for the past 4 years. Additionally, he coached for the Washington Nationals summer camp where he worked with kids between the ages of 5 and 17 years old.
Growing up, Jason played 4 years of varsity high school baseball and earned all-conference first team selection 3 years in a row, two of which while serving as the team captain. He also played local club baseball in the Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League.
